travel south america falkland islands around the island

While visiting the Falkland Islands, we had the opportunity to see some of the countryside near the east coast of East Island.
There were beautiful unforested rolling hills, bluffs, and low mountains.
Our guide showed us some of the major lines of battle that had occurred during the Falkland conflict with Argentina.
We say lines of ploughed fields where land mines had been burried and subsequently dug up after the conflict.
There also were fantastic "rock runs" that were covered with sharp uneven rocks the size of suitcases that neither animal nor man could negotiate.
